Shoulder title, 13th Duke of Connaught’s Own Lancers, 1932-1947. Brass badge (1923 Ordnance issue) in the form of the unit abbreviation, ‘13L’. In 1923 the 13th Duke of Connaught’s Own Bombay Lancers was formed from the amalgamation of the 31st Duke of Connaught’s Own Lancers and the 32nd Lancers. In 1927 the unit was redesignated the 13th Duke of Connaught’s Own Lancers. In 1947 the unit became part of the Pakistan Army. From the Field Marshal Sir John Chapple Indian Army Collection.
