"THE PAVILION HOTEL - SCARBOROUGH", "HIGH STANDARDS FOR FAMILY CATERING - TRAVEL BY TRAIN" and "LNER".
Inscription description:
The upper case black print appears on a white rectangular background on the bottom of the work, in different font sizes and boldness. "LNER" appears within a horizontal pointed oval shape on both the left and right hand sides of the print, and "NE" actually appears in a larger font size.
Inscription description:
The handwriting appears in upper case in different font sizes, boldness and colours on the respective modes of transport. On the bus the quotes refer to the destination, the bus company, the number of the bus, and the bus registration plate respectively. Note: part of the registration plate is obscured by part of the bus and the letter "E" could also be a letter "F". On the car the quote refers to the registration plate, and the "1" is believed to represent that particular number but it is slightly unclear. On the tramcar the quotes refer to the destination, an advert, the tramcar number, the tramcar's jurisdiction, and the tramway company respectively. Note: the destination on the tramcar is underlined, and the advert is mostly illegible apart from the quote provided. Note: "PAVILION HOTEL" also appears on the front of the hotel.
