Top bar: Gold, cast in the form of a scroll, engraved ' BUXTON LODGE 1688 ', draped over a rod with fleur de lis terminals. Ribbon: Light blue ribbed fabric. First ribbon device: Gold enamelled shield, depicting a stag on a cliff. Surmounting the shield is a swathe of gold foliage, mounted upon which is a three dimensional gold five pointed star. Second ribbon device: Gold scroll, coated with blue and white enamel, marked ' AUDI / VIDE / TACE ' in gilt. Hanging device: Gold set square, from which is suspended the 47th proposition of Euclid. There is a presentation inscription on the reverse. Pin: Vertical
