Brief description:
Silver coloured medal. On the obverse central to the design is a relief depiction of Pitsburgh tram station with the relief text 'PITTSBURGH' beneath. On the reverse, central to the design is the relief text 'SYRIA / TEMPLE / PITTSBURGH / PA.' encircling the text is a border containing four five-pointed stars. Above and beneath the central design is arched relief text reading 'LEGION OF HONOR / LOS ANGELES 1950'.
