On board: "Tram - Remember Side 2/9/97"; on back elevation of tram: "STARR GATE via Sandcastle and Pleasure Beach" as the destination, and "Pause to Remember on 11th November" appears below the window; on side elevation of tram: "The Royal British Legion" centered at the top, and "Pause to Remember on 11th November" below the passenger windows with the tram doors between the sections of the latter print.
Inscription description:
The single deck tram is decorated to promote awareness of the Poppy Appeal for the Royal British Legion. The tram is decorated in the colours of red, white and blue to represent the flag of the United Kingdom, and the windows are mostly in black with a grey scale to white. The print appears in a range of font sizes in white and blue, and the poppy flower heads appear to be sprayed onto the tram three times on the side elevation and once on the back elevation. The hallmark for the Royal British Legion appears near each end of the tram on the side elevation and once on the front elevation on the left hand side below the window. Note: the rhyme "Pause to Remember on 11th November" appears in italics on both tram elevations. Both elevations also appear to be on a track that is represented by a horizontal black line.

The print appears in white with the first punctuation mark appearing as a filled in number 6 and the second as a filled in number 9. The label is a horizontal rectangle in shape, with the bottom left hand corner curved, and is split horizontally into two sections. The top section has a red background and is slightly larger than the second section that has a purple background and features the print.
