- Copper coloured metal medal. On the obverse central to the design is a left facing relief bust of President Warren G. Harding (1865-1923) (see notes below). Above and beneath this is relief text reading 'HARDING / 1922'. On each side of the bust is relief text reading 'LUCKY / PENNY'. On the reverse central to the design is a relief depiction of the Masonic Temple, Detroit. Above and beneath this is relief text reading 'NEW MASONIC / TEMPLE / DETROIT'.

- Comments:
- President Warren G. Harding (1865-1923), originally from Ohio, was the 29th President of the United States of America serving from 1921 to 1923. On 18th September 1922 he was supposed to attend the laying of the foundation stone for the new masonic temple in Detroit. However, he was unable to attend due to his wife falling ill.
- Comments:
- As most items are manufactured in the same year they are presented, date of manufacture for this medal is taken to be the same as its presentation date. Please note this manufacture date is speculative as occasionally items are manufactured before or even after the date of presentation.
- Comments:
- The cataloguing of the medal collection at the Library and Museum of Freemasonry was supported by a grant from Arts Council England in 2013.
