Top bar: Missing Ribbon: Missing Ribbon device: Missing Bottom bar: Missing Hanging device: Three shields, one above and two below, in gold plated silver and enamel. The top shield shows the civic coat of arms of Reading, consisting of five women's heads in dark blue and white enamel on a red enamel background, the centre head crowned. The bottom left shield shows the civic coat of arms of Southampton, divided horizontally with two red enamel roses on a white enamel background above and one white enamel rose on a red enamel background below. The bottom right shield shows the civic coat of arms of Guildford, consisting of a grey castle on a green field painted in enamel on black enamel background. To the left of the top shield is a gold plated silver Pythagorean star (five pointed) and to the right, a gold plated silver square and compasses. All are set at the centre of a gold plated silver garter device, complete with buckle, infilled with dark blue enamel with text 'BORDER LODGE No 2475'. At the bottom is a gold plated banner infilled with light blue enamel with text 'FOUNDER' Pin: Missing.

The coats of arms on the Lodge's badge are those of Reading, Southampton and Guildford but, as county towns, are taken to represent the counties of Berkshire, Hampshire and Surrey.
Comments:
As most jewels are manufactured in the same year as they are presented, date of manufacture for this jewel is taken to be the same as the foundation year of the Lodge. Please note this manufacture date is speculative as occasionally jewels are manufactured before or even after the date of presentation.
