Sugar nippers
Brief description:
Metal sugar nippers, probably 18th century. Used to snip off bits of sugar which came in large cone shaped pieces. It has hinged handles which can be secured at the ends with a lever catch. The hinge is decorated on one side with concentric rings. The cutting blades are semi-circular in shape.
