Title:
"I knew some of you Royal Navy blokes were moonlighting but piracy is a bit much!"
Object name(s):
art; drawing
Brief description:
Original pen and wash drawing by Charles Miles 'Smiles', later published in 'The Navy News' January 1978. Humorous cartoon. A Royal Navy ship is tied-up alongside a merchant vessel; she flies the Skull & Crossbones, and a sailor carries a hostage up the gangway, where a CPO holds a sign 'No pets or prisoners allowed on board'. RN sailors cross swords with merchant officers and one merchant captain says to his opponent "I knew some of you Royal Navy blokes were moonlighting but piracy is a bit much!"
