Eugénie Droz (1893-1976) founded the publishing house Librairie Droz in Paris in 1924. She was also a Renaissance scholar; the leading figure in the advancement of scholarship on fifteenth-century poetry and song in the early twentieth century (J. Alden, 2010). Droz researched and lectured at the Warburg Institute and admired its combination of erudition and comprehensibility. A room of the Warburg library is named after her. Signed portrait. Framed.
