- Brief description:
- Combat shirt of Sgt Chantelle Taylor, Royal Army Medical Corps, 2008 (c). This combat shirt is in disruptive pattern material (DPM) designed for use in the desert. It was worn by Sgt Chantelle Taylor during her tour in Afghanistan in 2008 as part of Operation Herrick. On the left shoulder it has a 16 Air Assault Brigade ‘striking eagle’ desert patch and a Union Jack patch. On the right shoulder it has a 16 Medical Regiment Royal Army Medical Corps drop zone badge comprised of maroon, blue and yellow horizontal stripes. It also has a tactical infra-red reflective patch on both shoulders. These badges aid recognition of an individual’s unit and role in often chaotic combat situations.
