Brief description:
Apron: White leather apron with a dark blue silk border, with crimson indents, and a white linen backing. On the front the apron has a semi-circular flap, also in white leather with a dark blue silk border with crimson indents. There is a rectangle of blue silk with a triple tau painted in gold in the middle sewn to the flap. Sash: Blue silk sash with blue borders and a line of red triangles down each side.

An early 19th Century Royal Arch apron and sash, formerly worn by Duncan McAlpin, exalted on the 12th of July, 1816 in Salem's Tower Chapter, Wigton, Cumberland and Westmorland (later Chapter of St. John, present number 327). Presented by- W. Bro. J. Benson, P.G.D., Provincial Grand Secretary, Cumberland and Westmorland. 25/4/1968. 68/80.
