Top bar: Gold plated silver banner infilled with white enamel and bearing the text 'FOUNDER'. Surrounding the banner is gold plated silver scrolling motifs. Ribbon: Ribbed silk in light blue. Hanging device: Gold plated silver oval plaque painted with a coloured enamel depiction of the greek muse of comedy and idyllic poetry Thalia. She is wearing dark blue classical robes and is crowned with ivy, in her right hand she holds the mask of comedy and in her right is a shepards staff. Surmounting the plaque is a gold plated silver banner infilled with dark blue and white enamel and bearing the text 'THALIA LODGE'. At the bottom of the device is a gold plated silver foliage motif with a gold shaped banner entwined around it, infilled with dark blue and white enamel and bearing the text 'No. 5177'.
