On one side is the device of an Assistant Grand Director of Ceremonies being two crossed rods, tied by a ribbon with a bow, with text below reading 'ASSISTANT', embroidered in gold purl. Framing the device is a wreath of wheat and acacia embroidered in gold purl and gold spangles.
