Stereoscope, 1910 (c). Stereoscopic slide viewer associated with Quarter-Master-Sergeant Ernest Stevens, Seaforth Highlanders (Ross-shire Buffs, The Duke of Albany’s), 1910 (c). The National Army Museum also holds a collection of related slides of photographs taken in India. Stereographs consist of two almost identical photographs paired in such a way that when seen through a viewing instrument such as this, they appear as a three-dimensional image.
