Brief description:
Other ranks’ cap badge, Royal Army Education Corps, 1970 (c). This badge consists of a fluted flambeau of five flames (the symbol of learning) behind a crown and a scroll inscribed ‘RAEC’. It was introduced in 1950 and replaced an earlier version which consisted of an open book upon crossed lances and rifles.
