- Percy Maxwell Wallace (1863-1943. M.A., Oxon.) served as Secretary to the Senate of the University of London, 1901ff; Assistant Secretary to the London Society for the Extension of University Teaching, 1891-1901. An English academic in India; his article "Mr Donnelly's Shakespeare Cipher" is held in Senate House Library. Portrait signed and dated 1900. In gilt gesso frame. The artist, George Percival Gaskell, lecturered on the history of art and Italian painting for the University of London, as a University Extension lecturer and a Staff Lecturer.
