Brief description:
Bronze coloured metal medal. On the obverse central to the design is a relief set square and compass enclosing an irradiated five-pointed star. Below this are two sprigs of acacia tied at the bottom with a ribbon. Below this are a relief depiction of clasped hands. Arching the central design is relief text reading 'MARIAGE CIVIL'. On the reverse is a relief acacia wreath joined at the bottom with a set square and compass. The centre of the wreath is blank (see notes below).
