Brief description:
Indian Army Cavalry Trooper’s sword, 3rd Bengal Cavalry, 1888. This sword has a straight fullered blade with engraved decoration including the maker’s name, Wilkinson, a regimental monogram, and Persi-arabic script which is possibly the owner’s name, Muhammad Azad. The hilt is similar to the Pattern 1885 cavalry trooper’s sword and the date 1888 comes from an officer’s sword order from the manufacturer.
