- Alfred Rowden was a keen amateur photographer and natural historian in Exeter. He often gave talks at local field clubs, illustrated with magic lantern slides that he created or purchased from commercial manufacturers. This photograph is one a series from a Royal Albert Memorial College Field Club and Natural History Society visit to Lundy Island. The names of the people in this group have not been recorded, but research suggests the man on the right is Alfred Rowden. This object is not on display.
