This frock has white facings with the pre 1902 ‘jampot’ style cuffs, and embroidered shoulder straps marked ‘WORCESTER’. There is one good conduct chevron on lower left sleeve. Internally there are the remains of a paper label dated November 189?and an issue stamp of Wr 1206 3 98, indicating this frock was issued in March 1898.,Cap badge, British officer, Federal Regular Army (FRA), Aden, 1961 (c). Embroidered cloth badge with crossed daggers (jambiya) below a crescent and star, with a yellow scroll below, bearing the inscription in Arabic, ‘Peace be with You’, on a black ground. The FRA, an Arab force with British officers, was formed in 1961 from the Aden Protectorate Levies, and was responsible for local defence. During the Aden Emergency (1963-1967) it helped suppress unrest in the Radfan region, but it was increasingly distrusted by British troops after several mutinies led to the deaths of soldiers in Aden city.
