Badge, British Army Training Unit (Kenya), 2018 (c). Square, woven green patch with two crossed Maasai swords in the centre of a red circle with a black outline. The British Army Training Unit (Kenya), known as BATUK, is a permanent training support unit based in Nanyuki and Nairobi in Kenya. It provides training and support to the Infantry, Engineer and Medical deployments in Kenya. Up to six Infantry battalions carry out eight week training exercises and the Royal Engineers and Medical deployments work on civil engineering projects or the provision of primary medical care for the benefit of the civilian population.
