Top bar: Silver gilt escutcheon, featuring an enamelled crown surmounting two crossed standards. Beneath this is a blue enamelled scroll, marked ' ALBERT EDWARD ' in gilt. The scroll surmounts a shield bearing the Royal coat of arms - three gilt lions passant in the first and fourth quarters, gold lion rampant in the second, gilt harp on blue in the third. Ribbon: Light blue ribbed and watered silk, now faded to green. Ribbon device: Crest of the Prince of Wales - a gilded coronet with three feathers in silver gilt, over a blue enamelled scroll with ' ICH DIEN ' in gilt. Bottom bar: Blue enamelled rectangle, marked ' LODGE No. 1783 ', surmounting a red rose with green enamelled leaves. Hanging device: Gold set square, engraved with wheat, from which is suspended the 47th proposition of Euclid. Pin: Vertical
