- Hard bound book with beige cover. On the first page inside is a handwritten poem in pencil, accompanied by a sketch of an early nineteenth century gentleman smoking a pipe. The frontispiece is titled "The magic fountain with other poems by Robert Story". The book of poems is dedicated to the author's mother, Mary Story of Wooler, Northumberland. Some of the poems have Craven references including "Twelfth of August in Craven", "Lines" (about a tree which was felled in Gargrave), "The poet's home"(about a house built for the poet by Sir Matthew Wilson of Eshton Hall), "To Matthew Wilson, Esq.", "A Birth-day epistle" (written in Gargrave, 1929), "Verses" (on the re-built Eshton Hall), "Peter King; a legend of Craven", "Craven" and "On Skipton's vales". A pencil sketch on the inside of the back cover is a portrait of a young early nineteenth century gentleman.
