- Letter to Mr F. X. Erne, father of Kenneth Erne, confirming Kenneth's period of leave from 18 March 1940 to 27 March 1940. Signed by a Commanding Officer, so most likely from Kenneth's time as an aircraft apprentice in the RAF. Written 22 or 23 February 1940. Bottom half of the letter was a return slip which has been neatly removed. On the back is the folding pattern to turn the piece of paper into an envelope, with Frank Erne's address written neatly, and stamps confirming postage.
