Brief description:
watercolour painting by Sean Bolan. Painted in c.2006, titled Swindon Junction Station, framed. Swindon Junction Station c.1842. The station is portrayed as it was originally designed by Isambard Kingdom Brunel, looking in the 'up' direction. A broad gauge locomotive sits waiting at the station platform; and in the foreground a small group of men, including Brunel and Daniel Gooch, are stood with bundles of architectural drawings presumably discussing the next stage in the development of the GWR.
