Brief description:
This wader is usually a winter visitor to the British Isles where it feeds upon small invertebrates along the strand-line. Most breed in Arctic Canada, Greenland and Northern Europe but a few have raised broods in the Scottish Highlands. This object is on display at RAMM in the In Fine Feather gallery.
