This lantern slide shows a unique perspective on the Shaftesbury Memorial, furthermore there are lots of people visiting the site and the clothing suggests a 1920s era. This is part of the baker collection that was acquired in 1977. William Weaver Baker was a keen local amateur photographer and his collection of lantern slides offer a rare glimpse of Exeter and the surrounding area in the early twentieth century.
