- Born at Cromer 1888 son of Dr Robert Fenner. Educated at Suffield Park School and at Felstead College. He was farming in Southern Chile when war began. He obtained a Commission in the Scots Guards in 1915 and was wounded near Ypres in 1915. He was killed in action at Les Boeufs (Somme) while commanding a Company of the 2nd Scots Guards on 24th September 1916. His brother Athelstan was lost in 1918. Comemorated Thiepval Memorial, Somme, France.
