Brief description:
A piece of ‘motto ware’, this butter dish from the Aller Vale pottery in South Devon was made for the Minehead tourist market. The inscription was scratched through white slip to show the words: ‘Fresh from the Dairy’, celebrating food that the Westcountry was famous for. This object is not on display.
