Brief description:
Top bar: Gold buckle, through which ribbon is threaded. Ribbon: Light blue ribbed and watered silk, now faded to green. Ribbon device: Gold figure of St. Peter holding keys and a book. Bottom bar: Enamelled gold shield the arms of Westminster, which incorporates those of Edward the Confessor, - gold cross patonce on blue ground, surrounded by five gold doves - with two tudor roses on gold on either side of an unidentified coat of arms - three gold fleur de lys on blue in 1 and 4 and three gold lions passant on red in 2 and 3. Hanging device: Gold set square, from which is suspended the 47th proposition of Euclid. Presentation inscription: Reverse of hanging device. Pin: Horizontal brooch
