Brief description:
This vessel was made by potters of the Kingdom of Chimor, Peru between 1100 - 1430 AD. Chimu ceramics were produced on a large scale either for offerings at burials or for daily use. They often depict people, mystical beings or animals such as this one showing a ferocious cat.
