- Top bar: Gold trapezium engraved with flora. Ribbon: Light blue ribbed and watered silk. First ribbon device: Gold rectangular frame engraved with foliage. Second ribbon device: Gold acacia wreath containing a set square and compasses, framing an enamelled depiction of Saint Mary. At the base of the set square are two blue enamelled scrolls, marked ' THAME / No 1763 / LODGE ' and ' St. MARY'S ' in gilt. The device is sewn to the ribbon, overlapping the first device. Bottom bar: Gold trapezium engraved with flora. Hanging device: Gold set square, from which is suspended the 47th proposition of Euclid. Presentation inscription: Reverse of hanging device.
