Top bar: Gold plated silver bar, with splayed ends and surmounted by the Triple Tau symbol, infilled with dark blue enamel and with text reading 'FOUNDER'. Ribbon: Ribbed and watered silk in cream. Hanging device: Disc of gold plated silver. The centre is infilled with red enamel, onto which is attached an anchor. The border of the disc is infilled with dark blue enamel with text reading 'UNITED MARINERS / No. 3'. The disc is pinned to a six pointed star in gold plated silver, matt with polished trim. Pin: Missing.
