‘Women’s Royal Army Corps: For a brighter future’, brochure, March 1983. Brochure for the Women’s Royal Army Corps (WRAC) giving information on the different types of jobs available for new WRAC recruits. In the early 1980s, women were allowed to train in and use firearms for the first time, opening up more roles for women in the WRAC. However, combat roles were not open to women until 2016.
