- Cap badge, 71st Punjabis, 1917-1919. White metal badge with unit number surmounted by King's Crown, with a scroll bearing the title ‘Punjabis’. The 71st Punjabis was raised in 1917 at Montgomery, Sahiwal, in the Punjab. Unique in the Indian Army, recruits were drawn from the Punjab’s Christian population. The unit served in Persia in 1918. The regiment was absorbed into the 111th Mahar Regiment in 1919. From the Field Marshal Sir John Chapple Indian Army Collection.
