Apron for a Lay Brother of the Masonic Order of Athelstan.

Brief description:
White leatherette apron with a crimson fabric border and a triangular flap, also with a crimson fabric border. The flap has two tassels in crimson fabric ended with a silver coloured metal bar with a foliate design in relief from each of which hand seven ball and chain tassel ends in silver coloured metal. The apron is decorated with two crimson fabric rosettes which have a central button of gold coloured metal with an enamelled image of the figure of Athelstan seated on a throne on a chequered pavement and framed by an arch, in yellow, red, green and white. There is an inner border of crimson fabric. The flap is decorated with an embroidered crown in crimson fabric with detail in red and green fabric. The apron has a crimson fabric belt with a silver coloured metal buckle.
