- Opened envelope addressed to 'Mr and Mrs Erne, Tweed Cottage, Boldre, Lymington, Hants.' from the chairman of the Red Cross Wounded, Missing and Relatives Department, Lady Margaret Ampthill, regarding the organisation's difficulty in finding information about Kenneth Erne's whereabouts. Body of letter typed on both sides of the page, with signature of Margaret Ampthill at the end. Written 18th April 1944, almost a year after Kenneth's plane was shot down over Denmark.
