Text:
The rusted remains of a dagger. This dagger was made of iron, but otherwise we know very little about it. It probably dates to the postmedieval period, about 300 years ago (1700). It was found in the foundations of Plumptre House, Nottingham, and was acquired by Nottingham City Museums in 1911. From old museum label - 'Iron Dagger, 15th - 16th century, found in the foundations of Plumptre House, Nottingham.'
