Many major buildings are shown, with Joseph Durham's Memorial to the Great Exhibition in the centre foreground; the arcades of the Garden of the Royal Horticultural Society to the right; the inner facade of the South Kensington Museum to the left and the Royal Albert Hall of Arts and Sciences in the background. The buildings are in a monochrome brown, beaneath a blue sky, all under a semi-matt glaze.
