Brief description:
Indian Army Cavalry Trooper’s sword, 1908 (c). This sword would have been used by sowars (cavalry troopers) of the Indian Army’s mounted units. It is stamped with the name of the maker, Wilkinson of London. The nickel plated steel guard is impressed with a cartouche bearing an Indian coat of arms and the grip is of checkered wood. The pommel is similar to that of 1905 Cavalry Trooper’s sword.
