- Brief description:
- Framed drawing of the Bull Inn in Sheep Street, Rugby. The drawing shows the street before it was pedestrianised. The Bull inn is on the left hand side, and next to it is shown a wholesaler's. There are a number of people in the street, and a handcart in front of the wholesaler's. It is unclear when the drawing was done, though the people shown in it look Victorian. It is also unclear whether the drawing is an original or a print, though the former is favoured. Under the drawing is written in blue ink: 'The Old Bull Inn, Sheep Street.' The frame is made from wood, and has a wood mount under the glass. On the back is a typed note which reads: 'The license of this inn dates from 1720. For many years the Rugby Magistrates held the Petty Sessions here.'
