Shoulder title, Ajmer Regiment, 1942-1946. Brass badge in the form of a curved title, ‘Ajmer’. The Ajmer Regiment was one of a number of Indian Army units raised during World War Two (1939-1945). It was formed from two battalions of the 4th Bombay Grenadiers. Two battalions were created in 1942, with a third created in 1943. The unit was disbanded in 1946.
