Manufactured by the Swiss watch company, Helvetia During an action at Montchamp, Calvados, France, on the 8th August 1944, Sergeant Roy Bishop’s life was saved when a piece of shrapnel penetrated his platoon book and wallet and smashed his Army issue fob watch in the breast pocket of his shirt.
