Brief description:
Gold coloured metal oval shaped jewel, at the centre of which is a panel of transluscent, dark blue glass and the device of a Director of Ceremonies, also in gold coloured metal, being two rods in saltire (crossed batons), a tied by a ribbon. Around the panel the metal is matt with text in relief reading 'EGYPT &THE SUDAN'. Surmounting the jewel is a hanging loop.
