Rraised rim and raised border with leaves and berries. Centre front inscription of image of seated writing man, surrounded by inscription 'THE LIVERPOOL EISTEDDFOD June 1840'. Reverse inscription 'FOR THE BEST ODE ON JOB'S AFFLICTIIONS PATIENCE AND RESTORATION' with silver hall marks below. Hanging slit at top of medal.
