- Brief description:
- Afghan National Army camouflage cap associated with Operation HERRICK 19, Afghanistan (2001- ) 2013-14. This cap is in the forest digital camouflage pattern adopted by Afghan forces in 2007. Reportedly the Afghan Defence Minister of the time saw this pattern on the internet and decided to use it even though only approximately 2% of Afghanistan is forest terrain. Initially Afghan Army uniform was made in China but production was rapidly moved to Afghanistan when the government took over manufacture.
