urgent letters to Mrs Ayrton of Skipton, the licensee of the Craven Hotel, re the health of her manager Robert McLean; he developed DTs and went back to Newcastle to be nursed by his married sisters, was violent and suffered delusions etc; these letters were hidden in the Craven Hotel and discovered during repairs to the building.
