This programme refers to Queen Elizabeth II's Silver Jubilee Review of the British Army at the Sennelager Training Centre of the British Army of the Rhine (BAOR). The parade involved some 3,000 men and 550 armoured vehicles from the 4th Division. In addition to the programme for the review and details of the troops taking part, the publication includes an article on the history of the Army during the Queen’s reign.

Metal badge with the blindfolded figure of Justice holding sword and scales, superimposed on a globe on crossed swords, surmounted by a crowned lion and crown, within a circlet bearing the motto, ‘Justitia in Arms’, with a scroll below bearing the unit title, ‘Army Legal Corps’.
The Army Legal Corps was responsible for providing legal support at all levels of the British Army. In 1992, it became a branch of the newly formed Adjutant General’s Corps.

This canteen cover belonged to a fifth grade technician of the 115th Infantry Regiment, 29th Infantry Division.
The 29th Infantry Division was a National Guard division from Maryland and Virginia. Known informally as ‘England’s Own’ it was posted to England in 1942. Initially stationed at Tidworth, it later undertook coast watch duties in Devon and Cornwall. In June 1944, the 29th Division formed part of the first wave of landings in the ‘Easy Red’ sector of OMAHA Beach.

- Dame Mary Colvin joined the First Aid Nursing Yeomanry (FANY) in 1938, transferring to the Auxiliary Territorial Service (ATS) on the outbreak of the Second World War. She initially joined the ATS as a driver, but in 1943 was put in charge of a Central Ordnance Depot ATS Group at Weedon in Northamptonshire.
On its disbandment in 1949, Colvin supervised the transfer of members of the ATS to the newly formed Women’s Royal Army Corps (WRAC). She served as Director of the WRAC from 1957 until her retirement from the British Army in 1961.
