The Mark II was fitted with a better liner and chinstrap. This example has shrapnel holes and was worn by Sergeant John Knowler of the Army Commandos during the Dieppe Raid of 1942. Amazingly he survived!

The Triumph TRW was used by the British Army in the 1950s an 1960s. Powered by a 500cc side valve engine, it was a reliable machine. This particular motorcycle and sidecar was used by the Junior Leaders Regiment, the Royal Corps of Transport and finally the Defence School of Transport for ceremonial duties.

This weapon, accompanied by its holster and lanyard, was manufactured by Webley and Sons of Birmingham in 1916. It belonged to Captain Claude Walter Thurston of the Indian Army. The Mk VI Webley, which was in production between 1915 and 1923, was the best-known version of this famous revolver adopted by the British Army.

During intense battles it is difficult for soldiers to replenish their ammunition, so they have to carry enough to keep them supplied for a long time. This Argentine ammunition pouch allowed their soldiers to keep spare magazines. It was brought back to the United Kingdom by a soldier who had served in the Falklands War of 1982.

During World War Two (1939-1945) the amphibious Buffalo was used by the British Army in the crossing of the Rhine. They were also used by the Americans to assault the Japanese island of Okinawa and by the British at Suez in the 1950s. This example (Army registration: 07 ZS 28) is the only LVT3 in working order left in military collections across the world.

Raised in 1872 the Calcutta Volunteer Lancers was the forerunner of the Calcutta Light Horse, an auxiliary unit forming part of the Indian Army Cavalry Reserve.
The Calcutta Light Horse was disbanded in 1947 when India gained Independence.

The Punjab Light Horse was raised in 1867 as part of the Cavalry Reserve of the British Indian Army. Based in Lahore the unit was disbanded after India gained independence in 1947.
